These terms are provided as a starting point and are not legal advice. Please have them reviewed by a qualified attorney before relying on them.

These terms govern your use of GenuineAutoPartsUSA. By creating an account, placing an order or listing a part, you agree to them.

What we are

GenuineAutoPartsUSA is a marketplace. Parts are sold by independent vendors, not by us. The vendor named on a listing is the seller of that part and is responsible for describing it accurately, packing it properly and shipping it on time.

Accounts

• You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or that we believe are being used fraudulently.

Buying

• Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude tax and shipping unless stated.
• Payment is taken at checkout through Stripe. Your order forms a contract with the vendor fulfilling it.
• Fitment data is a guide. Check the part number against your vehicle before fitting, and see our returns policy if it does not fit.
• If a vendor cannot fulfil an order, it is cancelled and refunded in full.

Selling

• Vendors must be approved before listing, and must hold any licences their state requires.
• Listings must describe the part honestly, including its condition and what is in the box.
• Counterfeit parts, stolen goods and parts that are unsafe or illegal to sell are prohibited.
• Vendors are responsible for shipping within the stated handling time and for supplying tracking.
• We charge commission on completed sales. See commission rates.

Payments and payouts

Card payments and vendor payouts are handled by Stripe, and are subject to Stripe terms. We do not store card numbers. Payouts are released to vendors after the order is delivered and any return window has passed.

Returns

Returns are covered by our returns policy, which forms part of these terms.

Content you post

You keep ownership of listing text, photos and reviews you upload, and you grant us a licence to display them on the marketplace. Do not upload material you do not have the right to use.

Liability

The marketplace is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for losses arising from a vendor listing, from fitting a part, or from any interruption to the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
