GenuineAutoPartsUSA operates an online marketplace connecting buyers with independent vendors of OEM, aftermarket, remanufactured and used automotive parts. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Information we collect
- Account details — your name, email address and password. Vendors also provide business name, business address and reseller certificate.
- Order information — shipping address, items purchased, order status and tracking numbers.
- Payment information — card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we retain only the last four digits and the payment status.
- Vehicle information — any vehicles you save to your garage, so we can show parts that fit them.
- Usage data — pages viewed, searches run and basic device information, used to keep the site working and to improve it.
How we use it
- To create and maintain your account and to authenticate you.
- To process orders, calculate shipping, produce labels and send order and tracking emails.
- To route each order to the vendor fulfilling it and to settle vendor payouts.
- To detect fraud, abuse and suspicious activity.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show advertising sold to third parties inside your account.
Who we share it with
- Vendors — the vendor fulfilling your order receives the shipping name, address and items required to ship it. They do not receive your payment details.
- Stripe — payment processing and vendor payouts.
- Shipping carriers — address details needed to create labels and track parcels.
- Email delivery — to send order confirmations and tracking updates.
- Legal — where we are required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart and saved vehicles, and understand how the site is used. Blocking cookies will stop sign-in and checkout from working.
Data retention
We keep account and order records for as long as your account is open and afterwards for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and dispute-resolution purposes.
Your choices
- You can view and update your account details at any time from Account Settings.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account, by contacting us.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information.
Children
The marketplace is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we make a material change to this policy we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
